A Better Way

The search is on. I'm sick of wasting hours - probably days! - each week fighting with computer problems. There has to be a better way.

Over the years, I've tried and refined so many anti-everything software tools that my machines have barely enough grunt left to do the actual work they were employed to do.

They're effective enough, but unfortunately, that's not where the story ends. As I work, new influences are introduced each day, intentionally and unintentionally. And invariably, something conflicts with something else - without a whimper - and eventually I notice that something isn't doing what it's supposed to be doing.

Case in point - my LAN has developed a 'one-way' mentality. Machine A can interact with the others. The others can see Machine A, but any attempt to interact is met with a message that declares there's 'not enough server storage' available. One-way traffic? Weird. And hours of searching for answers produces only a reference to a different operating system. Uninstalls, reinstalls, updates and various other fruitless attempts later, and whooptedoodah, another week gone and another dollar lost.

There has to be a better way!
